The Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Apprenticeship is ideal for anyone undertaking work in a school setting, whose primary role is supporting teachers in the classroom.
There are two levels to this qualification:
The Intermediate Apprenticeship at level 2 and the Advanced Apprenticeship at level 3. We typically recommend that people becoming apprentices start at level 2 and then progress to level 3, the Advanced Apprenticeship.
Intermediate Apprenticeship
To complete the framework, the apprentice will achieve the following qualifications:
Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Key Skills/Functional Skills in Communication/English, Application of Number/Maths and Information and Communication Technology.
The Intermediate Apprenticeship takes between 9 and 12 months to complete.
Advanced Apprenticeship
Those taking part in the Advanced Apprenticeship also gain various qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Key Skills/Functional Skills in Communication/English, Application of Number/Maths and Information and Communication Technology.
The Advanced Apprenticeship takes 15-18 months to complete.
